MayerWood LLC is a business partnership that was formed by Seth D Mayer and Matthew “Woody” Woodward. While the business may be new there is a long productive history behind its founders. Seth and Woody graduated high school together over 20 years ago and have been on the move since. Seth (Army) and Woody (Air Force) both joined the military right out of high school and are still currently serving in the National Guard; different assignments, deployments, and duty stations have put them all over the globe with a lot if interesting stories to back it up. Both still live in same town and have started families of their own, even their kids are in the same class.
After High school Seth took a job with the local DPW where he learned the ins and outs of road maintenance, utilities, and services. He soon moved on to a small stone and gravel company where he honed his skills for the next 18 years. During his time Seth spent many hours on heavy equipment and trucks learning all phases of site development work, utilities, road construction, concrete work, paving, and demo to name a few. After completing his second deployment he had saved enough money to buy a used excavator and begin taking on side projects. Eventually the side projects got larger and Seth made the tough decision to go out on his own. While at the time it seemed risky it was the right thing to do. Seth’s friendly nature along with a vast number of colleagues, customers, friends got the word out fast and has been working ever since.
Woody grew up on a small local farm before joining the Air Force at 18. Over the next 5 years he went to schools for navigational landing equipment and traveled all over installing new systems. After completing his 5-year commitment Woody came back home, used his GI Bill money went to school, and joined the national guard. Woody received a B.S. in Electronic Engineering and continued to work on small home improvement projects for customers as he had been doing while in school. The small projects soon lead to larger projects and full-time construction company was born. Over the years the projects ranged from a small bathroom remodel to building entire garages. When the larger projects came Woody would often call Seth to help out with the site work and they soon realized how efficiently they worked together. After deploying in 2016, Seth and Woody joined forces under MayerWood LLC and have putting out quality projects ever since.
With all the combined business and construction experience between them, pool installations came natural.
